What size pool do I need?
The biggest pool isn’t necessarily the best pool. For example: If you are choosing between 2 different models, eg. 9m or 8m and you are not quite sure? You might want to step down a size. It is all subject to how much space you have. Your pool usually looks better with space or gardens around instead of cramming in a larger product to utilize the space.
Plans
Before you start looking for shapes, you should obtain a registered site plan with RP numbers showing the plumbing & drainage. This will allow you to help see if there are any pipes or other problems. Most importantly, it will tell you what size pool will actually fit before you’ve selected a model.
Do you have your finances organised?
It is always a good idea to get your finances in order before you start looking at different models. If you don’t have finance approved and you want a quote, all you need to do is simply come into one of our offices and a quote can be written for your bank finance in around 5 minutes. With your money approved and budget in order, it will make your selection in the size & price you require a lot less time consuming, and much more simple.
When should I build?
There is no correct time to build, however, Lock-up stage (new house construction) is generally when house builders prefer to allow other builders on site.
Is my pool equipment rated correctly or do I need anything else?
Technically no, however in general, most customers upgrade equipment to- Eliminate Work – Increase water clarity – Run pool with the minimum of operating hours – Increase swimming season – Save money on power eg. Tariff 33 etc
Do I have to use a temporary fence?
Absolutely. Refer to your local council or fencing contractor. Atlantic Pools® can provide a legal temporary fence for you during the construction process.
Where do I put my pool?
There is no technically correct place to install your pool, however, the most practical position (if possible) is to have perfect vision from your kitchen or entertainment area. Looking out towards your pool, you should be able to see the children at all times.Pools in general should be 1.5m from the boundary (subject to local council). However, if you do need or want to place the pool closer, you can with a relaxation.Check with your local council or private certifier for correct legal position.

How do you fill the swimming pool?
( Fibreglass Swimming Pools) – Water trucks are used in most locations across Australia. – Concrete Pools do not come standard with water.
I was told Fibreglass Pools lift out of the ground? Is this correct?
No! All Fibreglass & Concrete pools have a hydrostatic valve. #Note: Only use licensed installers.
Hydrostatic Valves are placed in the floor. This ensures that ground pressures are even. Hydrostatic Valves release pressure from underground water.

What about strength and flexibility?
Atlantic One Piece Fibreglass Composite Swimming Pools are engineered and designed to exceed Australian Standards.
Fibreglass can flex up to 2 feet if required.
How high should the pool water level be?
The height of your swimming pool water level should not go below the skimmer box at any stage. If the swimming pool water has to be emptied for any reason, please call Atlantic Pools® or your Authorized Dealer. Never drop the water level yourself! Only Atlantic Pools® Authorized Licensed Installers are permitted to empty the water to the desired level.
